Heidi Hinder

The Goldsmiths Company

Heidi Hinder was recently selected as the British Art Medal Society’s ‘New Medallist’. This scholarship award, focusing on the research, design and production of contemporary art medals, included artist residencies at The Royal Mint and The National Academy of Art in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Further to qualifying with a first class Honours Degree in Jewellery & Silversmithing, Heidi creates intriguing artwork, which often draws on a previous career in film and television by exploring the disparity between illusion and reality. Her pieces have been acquired for the permanent collections of The Royal Society of the Arts, Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, The British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths and the American Numismatic Society in New York.
