Annika Rutlin

The Goldsmiths Company

41-45 The Lookout Peacehaven East Sussex

"I basically love what I do! It's creative, it's fun, I get to manipulate metal and get dirty!"

Annika is enthused aboput her jewellery, with a natural desire to create. Dedicated to excellent standards, her prolific design talents mean she has created an immense and diverse body of award-winning work.

Born in Belgium, of a Swedish mother and Norwegian father, and then raised in England, summers were spent returning to Scandinavia to visit relatives. Inspired by the crisp bold lines of these landscapes and the diversity of modern and traditional designs there, Annika draws strongly on these for inspiration.

A modern Stockholm-based apprenticeship followed by a top degree in 3D design, specialising in jewellery and silversmithing, has moulded Annika's distinctive style.

Annika's expertise has been honed through many years experience within the trade whilst her passion for jewellery means that she is continually broadening her skills. Recently educated in the art of computer-aided design also means customers can now view lifelike renders and 3D images when commissioning more complex designs.

Annika is keen on 'upcycling'; rejuvenating customers old jewellery through redesign.

"If your eyes are the windows to your soul, let my jewellery be the reflection in the window!"
